Funky French-Tip Aztec mani

Hello Lovely Ladies!

My mind is going a bit blank on a “prelude” to this manicure… so I think I will just jump into it:

I had this ‘vision’ of a faded soft base with faded tribal print tips.  The idea was there… the execution is a bit lacking; but, I’m not too proud to share this first attempt with you AND this only means I will have to re-visit this vision at a later date with a few tweaks.

I started out with a base gradient of essie Marshmellow and essie Romper Room.

I then stamped using the top portion of the elephant image from my collab Bundle Monster plate, BM XL-202.

The stamped image is a gradient as well using two old mini essence bottles of a dark and a light grey (no names on the bottles but they are regular polish NOT stamping polish… hence the faded look).  Where the execution is lacking is that I wanted to cover the base gradient transition point with the stamp… but in order to do that I ended up with a 3mm void at the very tip of my nails that I then tried to re-stamp… and so the tips (if you look at them) are a little messy looking *sigh*.

I don’t hate this manicure… but I can see the flaws at the tips- I will simply have to revisit this idea and improve my ‘skill’ a little.

I wish you all a safe and happy weekend and Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my USA friends!

You may purchase my Bundle Monster plate HERE for $4.99 or as part of the five-bloggers collaboration set HERE for $19.99.
